Root Resorption Management

Roots of teeth can undergo resorption or self-destruction for a variety of reasons.  If not caught early, this can lead to catastrophic loss of tooth structure, leaving extraction of the tooth as the only management option. The location, severity, and cause of the resorptive process is highly variable.

Thankfully, early detection combined with surgical and/or non-surgical treatment is often an excellent way to keep these teeth healthy and functional.

At your examination appointment, Dr. Bellamy can recommend whether or not treatment can be delivered to try and rescue your tooth if it has suffered root resorption.
