Bone Grafting

Root canal therapy is an excellent way to keep teeth that are damaged or infected. Unfortunately, not all teeth can be saved. Thankfully, dental implants are available and are often an excellent choice to replace damaged or missing teeth.

A dental implant needs to be well anchored in bone to meet the day-to-day chewing demands placed on it. Sometimes there is not enough bone to place an implant, and sometimes bone needs to be added when an implant is placed, so that the implant is stable and performs as intended.

There are several types of grafting materials and procedures available to improve implant placement and stability.

At your examination appointment, Dr. Bellamy can recommend whether or not bone grafting is an option for you if you are considering implant therapy.
